Commissioning Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to join our team at Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful commissioning of a major reservoir project on the south coast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Asset Integration Team, ensuring seamless transition from construction to operation.
  • Collaborate with main contractors to set industry-leading standards for commissioning processes, procedures, and assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with asset design, delivery, and testing requirements, monitoring performance and addressing issues with contractors.
  • Prioritize health and safety across all site activities.
  • Facilitate contractor and operations collaboration during the design process, promoting innovation and quality standards.
  • Communicate and report effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the commissioning of the entire project, coordinating with all contractors and work packages.
  • Report to the Engineering Manager on the development and implementation of commissioning and testing plans.
  • Work with NEC Supervisors, Asset Integration Engineers, and Project Managers to identify and resolve defects.
  • Manage commissioning risks and constraints across the project.
  • Develop and oversee the Operational Readiness and Transfer into Operations plan.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree.
  • Extensive experience in commissioning, testing, or asset management.
  • Professionally qualified or significant relevant experience.
  • Experience with Contract Management and ERP software is advantageous.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and professional services.
  • Technical skills in asset management software, commissioning processes, and controls.
  • Familiarity with NEC contract management methodology.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
