Job Summary:
Keltbray is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance and Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing operational health, safety, and wellbeing leadership across our Built Environment Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Wellbeing (HSQEW) framework, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of our delegated locations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with our teams to develop and promote a positive HSQEW culture, fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing.
- Assist in the production, review, and monitoring of risk assessments and safe systems of work, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including the Health and Safety Executive, local authorities, and emergency services, as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to our staff on health and safety best practices, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local safety groups, trade associations, and training boards to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, responding to business needs and priorities.
- IT literate, with a comprehensive understanding of Windows-based programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Qualifications and Training:
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) – Graduate or Chartered.
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
- Accident Investigation Report Writing.
