We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Engineer to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fixed-term opportunity that will suit someone with a background in medical equipment management, looking to develop into a wider governance role within clinical engineering.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and work across all aspects of the Clinical Engineering service, providing technical support to ensure that medical devices are managed and maintained to a high standard.
- Provide technical input to all aspects of medical equipment governance across the equipment life-cycle, including the planning and delivery of medical equipment procurement projects, establishing preventative maintenance levels, investigating safety-related incidents, actioning safety alerts, and assessing risks associated with the use of medical devices in research.
- Assess risks relating to the use of medical equipment and recommend mitigations.
- Keep abreast of scientific, technical, and clinical developments that relate to medical equipment through a formal CPD scheme.
- Educated to degree/NVQ Level 6 in a relevant subject, or extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in the field of equipment management and support.
- Expert knowledge of clinical, scientific, and engineering aspects of a wide range of medical equipment.
- Experience of creating reports from relational databases.
