Job Title: Teaching Assistant for Special Needs

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a dedicated SEND school in South Liverpool. The successful candidate will have a minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) and experience working with children with visual impairments and other complex needs.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to students' individual learning and personal development needs, assist with classroom activities, and work closely with teachers and therapists to implement tailored education plans. You will also support students in developing essential life skills and independence, using Team Teach strategies (or being willing to undertake the training) to promote positive behaviour and ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Requirements:
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
• Experience working with children with visual impairments and other complex needs
• Ability to use Team Teach strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
