Family Solicitor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Solicitor to join our dedicated team at Reed. As a Family Solicitor, you will play a key role in shaping the career path of our public law team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor with over 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in family law to join our team. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of 30+ legal aid matters, with the potential to expand. You will also engage in care cases, with training provided to those with less experience in this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of legal aid matters, with the potential to expand.
  • Engage in care cases, with training provided.
  • Work closely with the team and under supervision and guidance of department director.
  • Take the lead on supervising our legal aid contract, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Undergo training for legal aid contract supervision and accreditation to become a supervisor.
Requirements
  • Must be a solicitor with 3+ years PQE in family law.
  • Experience in care cases is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive individual seeking to develop their career and willing to undergo training.
  • Must be interested in legal aid work and have the ambition to mould their role within the practice.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
