Electrical Engineer Job Description

TXM Recruit is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in Chertsey, Surrey. The successful candidate will work on ultra-high-end mansions for a private property management solution company.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver maintenance across all aspects of building services. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of building disciplines with a key competency in electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide maintenance support, including installation, planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance, in relation to site services and plant/equipment.
  2. Carry out testing, inspection, and certification of distribution boards and fixed wiring installations.
  3. Form part of the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
  4. Seasonal shift pattern, including some weekends and evenings.
  5. Maintenance and installation of emergency lighting.
  6. Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation and performance of tasks allocated.
  7. Deliver specialist technical support and services in relation to building plant/equipment.
  8. Knowledge of plant room electrical services, including motors, pumps, and FCU.
  9. Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly to health and safety.

Requirements
  1. Engineering or technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in relevant discipline, i.e., Electrical).
  2. The candidate should be able to write reports/job sheets either manually or electronically.
  3. C&G 2391 Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations or C&G 2394 Initial Verification and C&G 2395 Periodic Inspection and Testing Existing Installations or equivalent.
  4. Experience in building services.
  5. Full clean UK driving licence.
  6. Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, Mechanical).
