Aspire People, a leading education agency, seeks an experienced School Science Technician to work in a Secondary School in Birmingham. The role is 5 days a week full time.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Science Technician to contribute their expertise and drive the science department forward.

To succeed, applicants must have relevant experience as a Science Technician and possess a valid DBS certificate within the last 12 months or be willing to undergo a new check. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting both teachers and candidates throughout the day
  • Setting up and operating equipment accurately and safely
  • Taking a proactive approach to work tasks
  • Maintaining knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Managing stock control of chemicals and equipment
  • Cleaning equipment properly and storing chemicals and materials appropriately
