Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to join our team at Border Biscuits Ltd, a renowned biscuit manufacturer with over 40 years of heritage. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships within a portfolio of key accounts in the UK Grocery, Foodservice, and Premium Retail channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Joint Business Plans for each customer to drive growth at agreed levels of profitability for the Border brand.
  • Create and execute promotional plans aligned with Border brand values, customer promotional strategies, and internal capacity constraints.
  • Analyse post-promotional results to optimise promotional investment and enhance forecasting accuracy for future events.
  • Track, measure, and evaluate trends using internal sales reports, providing commentary to the Sales Director and wider business on performance versus targets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and market trends, sharing learnings with the wider commercial team.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to resolve pricing issues with the customer base.
  • Budget planning and preparation of individual account plans for the wider commercial team.
  • Accurately forecast customer demand in line with Border's monthly sales and operations cycle.
Requirements
  • Experience managing wholesaler accounts in the Foodservice and Premium Retail channels.
  • Proven track record in managing national accounts in the Grocery channel.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth back into Brand segments.
  • Experience working in a branded environment.
  • Ability to use data and insights to support sales proposals.
  • Success in developing sales within national end-user accounts across various channels.
