About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at Holland & Barrett. As a key member of our Finance function, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of 14 and driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in our accounts payable processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Payables team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of our accounts payable processes.
  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
  • Oversee direct debit payments within established guidelines, ensuring seamless and efficient payment processing.
  • Create and monitor team KPIs to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy in our accounts payable operations.
  • Collaborate with the property team to ensure accurate lease information and payments, maintaining a high level of service quality.
  • Approve supplier payments and manage cash flow effectively, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development opportunities to team members, promoting growth and professional development.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in our accounts payable operations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, resolving queries promptly and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Generate regular reports on accounts payable activities and relevant metrics, providing insights for business decision-making.
Requirements
  • AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification in accounting or finance.
  • Experience in an Accounts Payable Manager role, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and driving process improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge of P2P processes, preferably in a retail context, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Experience of managing a team, with a focus on development and motivation, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for both financial and non-financial stakeholders, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to support and implement process improvements, driving efficiency and productivity in our accounts payable operations.
  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data, and generate reports and insights.
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on building relationships and promoting a positive work environment.
