About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to join our Cardiac Catheter Labs team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre and post-procedure recovery care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures
  • Assist with scrubbing and circulating for procedures, including primary angioplasty and cardiac device implantation
  • Conduct patient education and provide support to patients and their families
  • Participate in the development of policies and protocols to improve patient care and outcomes
Person Specification

We are looking for a nurse with:

  • NMC registration and evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Post-registration experience in an acute clinical area, preferably in cardiology or interventional cardiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to use clinical reasoning skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
