Job Title: Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Drebbelogic Limited.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of new control systems for Special Purpose Machinery used in the FMCG/Packaging industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new control systems for production lines
  • Upgrade existing equipment and integrate with new automation/controls
  • Develop Functional, Detailed and Software Design Specifications from User Requirement Specifications
  • Program PLCs and HMIs using Siemens and Rockwell
  • Design and create required robot, PLC and HMI programming using IEC 61131-3 languages
  • Conduct site surveys and participate in technical meetings
  • Start up, commissioning and fault finding on customer sites
  • Support innovation and new product line integration
Requirements
  • Education in a relevant engineering discipline to HNC/HND qualification
  • 5+ years experience in Controls & Automation, ideally within the FMCG/Packaging industries
  • Software design experience on Rockwell or Siemens PLCs and HMIs
  • Knowledge and experience of using industrial comms protocols (EthernetIP or Profinet)
  • Motion and servo control systems experience
