Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Prax. In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with counterparts to arrange shipments, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with counterparts to arrange shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Vet vessels against company vetting and compliance policies, guaranteeing the safety and security of our cargo.
  • Work closely with product managers and charterers to adjust scheduling in response to unplanned events, minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Inform the Trade Finance Department of all transactions, maintaining transparency and accuracy throughout the process.
  • Enter and log cargo information/costs in the necessary trading/payment systems, streamlining data management and reducing errors.
  • Understand and proactively manage demurrage risks, identifying opportunities to optimize logistics and reduce costs.
  • Nominate cargoes to each terminal timely and accurately, ensuring seamless execution and reduced risk.
  • Issue documentary instructions and voyage orders, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Nominate inspectors at load and discharge ports, verifying the integrity and quality of our cargo.
  • Liaise with inspectors, vessel agents, insurers, and other parties fundamental to the business, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Update the trading system (Aspect) with accurate data regarding cargoes, maintaining up-to-date records and facilitating informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified with at least 3+ years' experience as an operator in the oil and gas industry, demonstrating expertise and knowledge of marine operations, logistics, and refinery operations.
  • Possess a good understanding of tariffs, taxation, exchanges, storage terminals, blending, testing methodology/repeatability, inventory management, and clean petroleum cargoes.
  • Good problem-solving skills, strong teamwork abilities, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Location: Office based in Marble Arch, London
