Senior Clinical Psychologist/Family Therapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Psychologist/Family Therapist/Child Psychotherapist to join our Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in North East London NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a highly skilled practitioner with a strong background in developing and delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions for young people and families.
As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and supporting the delivery of evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and families experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead and Team Manager to develop and implement treatment plans, provide clinical supervision, and contribute to the development of the service.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working with young people who present with complexity and significant levels of distress, and will be passionate about shaping and delivering services to best support the needs of the local population. You will have a breadth of experience in child and adolescent mental health services and will be able to demonstrate leadership in professional and clinical spheres.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical leadership and support the delivery of psychological support across the service.
- Assess, treat, and provide systematic outcome measurement for children and young people.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and contribute to the development of the service.
- Work closely with the Clinical Lead and Team Manager to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (e.g. psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist).
- Extensive experience of working with difficult, disturbed, or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
- Extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with co-morbid difficulties and special needs.
