Job Opportunity: Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviour, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with challenging behaviour in a SEMH/PRU setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour plans
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem
  • Assist with the development of individualised behaviour plans, ensuring that students' needs are met
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting the well-being of all students

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • DBS clearance and ability to register with the update service
