Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and improve operational performance.
- Lead and manage a team of depot staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Monitor and control depot costs, ensuring compliance with budget and financial targets.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to develop and implement effective logistics and transportation strategies.
- Ensure the depot operates in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and other business units.
- Manage and control working time hours, ensuring compliance with WTD and AWR regulations.
- Ensure the depot offers exceptional customer service, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and operational management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- IOSH qualification and CPC National Certificate desirable.
