Job Title: Electrical Shift Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Shift Technician to join our team at Peel Ports Group.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and a passion for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on heavy plant and equipment
  • Assist the Engineering team in delivering on-time delivery, continuous flow, customer satisfaction, and zero defects
  • Liaise with operations to prioritize breakdown repairs and use fault-finding diagnostic techniques and equipment to reduce the impact of reactive maintenance
  • Assist the team in project work, QA systems, and Health and Safety
Requirements:
  • Minimum of ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Extensive practical experience with relevant plant and equipment, including conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to fault find and problem solve using diagnostic equipment
  • Sound working knowledge of Permit to Work systems and incident reporting
  • Desirable: working knowledge of Programmable Logical Control or drive control systems and HV networks
