About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Reporting Radiographer to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Reporting Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, interpreting images, and producing detailed written or verbal reports to referring clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake independent image interpretation and produce detailed written or verbal reports to referring clinicians.
- Organise workload and maximise efficiency using available resources and managing patient priority as appropriate.
- Conduct examinations, producing high-quality diagnostic images, across a range of modalities, ensuring safe practice is carried out in accordance with departmental protocols and in line with their clinical scope of practice.
- Monitor and maintain a safe working environment with specific regard to quality assurance, infection control, and general health and safety issues.
- Provide an efficient and effective service to both patients and other staff, whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Person Specification
Essential
- BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or Equivalent.
- PgCert/PgDip/MSc (or equivalent) plain film reporting.
Desirable
- Management training.
Experience
Essential
- Relevant post-qualification experience as a senior radiographer in multiple modalities as demonstrated by portfolio.
- Experience of monitoring junior staff.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a reporting radiographer role.
- Experience of teaching and supervision in radiology.
