Production Planner

Saab UK is a leading provider of high-technology solutions and services in defence, aviation, space, and civil security. As a Production Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of products while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Planning: Collaborate with the production team to develop and maintain production schedules and plans, analyze and forecast demand for materials and components, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to meet production requirements, conduct regular inventory analysis to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to procurement and supply chain efficiency, identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and implement best practices and suggest system enhancements to improve overall operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge in aftermarket area
  • Experience in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a planner or buyer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical assembly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to forecast demand and identify supply chain issues
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in using ERP and MRP systems
  • Experience in Change Order Management and production scheduling
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
