Job Summary:

Hospiscare is seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Officer to join its Governance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's information and ensuring compliance with information management legislation and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Data Protection and Security Processes: Develop and implement effective data protection and security processes and protocols to ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities.
  • Produce Annual Data Protection and Security Toolkit Submission: Prepare and submit the annual Data Protection and Security Toolkit to relevant authorities.
  • Advise and Train Staff: Provide guidance and training to staff on data protection and security best practices, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of data protection legislation, cyber security principles, and risk management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively advise and train staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
