Engineering Team Lead (Factory Maintenance)

Bela Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join their team in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern manufacturing facility with a progressive and forward-thinking business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager to plan and schedule engineering duties, ensuring equipment is kept in full working order.
  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve job requests quickly and efficiently.
  • Manage the shift engineering workload, prioritizing and directing duties to ensure proactive maintenance is completed.
  • Ensure all maintenance works meet and exceed site H&S requirements, using Permit to Work, correct PPS, and Machinery Isolation using Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
  • Be flexible with working hours, including weekends, to meet business needs.
Requirements:
  • Time-served apprenticeship with relevant engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience managing, leading, and supporting a team of maintenance engineers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, responding to changing demands, and supporting factory maintenance.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to support and develop people and drive change.
  • Strong IT skills, excellent organizational, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing site working with modern equipment.
