Supporting Students with SEN

The role of the Special Education Support Assistant is to provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Key Stage 2 setting. This involves working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement tailored strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.

As an Inclusive Learning and Development Professional, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages social interaction, collaborative learning, and active participation among students with SEN.

This long-term position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who require additional support to succeed academically and socially. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering targeted interventions that promote pupils' personal development, wellbeing, and confidence within the school setting.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN, focusing on tailored strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Facilitate small group sessions, encouraging engagement, social interaction, and collaborative learning among students with SEN.
  • Encourage active participation in classroom activities, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners.
  • Deliver targeted interventions that promote students' personal development, wellbeing, and confidence within the school setting.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A recognized teaching assistant qualification or a relevant degree.

Estimated Salary Range: £90 - £105 per day, depending on experience.
