Youth Care Support Worker

Vetro Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and resilient individual to join our team as a Youth Care Support Worker in Coleford.
This rewarding role involves working 2:1 with children in residential homes, promoting their independence and wellbeing. You will be responsible for supporting young people in daily activities and interests, attending weekends away, holidays, and trips with them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support to young people
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
- Support and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour is challenging
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience in working with children or within a similar Social Care setting
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
Salary: £13.76 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
