About the Role:

We are offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.37 per hour for this position, which includes stable work hours from 1 PM to 11 PM.

This role involves safely and efficiently manoeuvring trailers around the site, ensuring timely and precise positioning. The ideal candidate will have valid Class 2 (Category C) license, experience with shunting and handling curtain-sided trailers, proficiency with Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) operation, physical fitness, and a strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Shunting Duties: Manoeuvre trailers safely and efficiently around the site.
  • Load Securing: Use curtain pulling and other securing techniques to ensure loads are stable and compliant with safety standards.
  • Handballing and PPT Operation: Load and unload goods manually and operate PPTs to transport items as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong awareness of health and safety practices, performing all tasks in line with site and company protocols.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) license.
  • Experience with shunting and handling curtain-sided trailers.
  • Proficiency with Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) operation.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
