Protocol Education is recruiting for a Behaviour Support role within a large SEMH school in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

The school, with 152 students and an Ofsted rating of 'Good', prioritises creating a nurturing environment where students develop into happy, confident individuals reflecting core values of honesty, respect, and trust.

We are seeking a Behaviour Specialist to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate should have experience managing challenging behaviour and implementing effective strategies to enhance students' learning experiences in the classroom.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of SEMH and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as the ability to tailor support to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Qualifications in Team Teach/Positive Handling/De-escalation Training Desired, SEND Certificate and SEND qualifications also beneficial
