Job Overview
Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust is a leading provider of mental health services in the region, and we are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for working with children and adolescents experiencing complex extra-familial harm.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide specialist/ highly specialist psychology services to children and young people, their families, and carers within Wigan local authority and part of ATOM team.
- To work closely with colleagues in targeted youth support services, council staff, CAMHS, and wider agencies to ensure a psychologically informed and trauma-informed service delivery system.
- To form part of a multi-professional, multi-agency team supporting children, young people, families, and carers on the edge of care.
- To deliver a range of interventions including formulation, consultation, assessment, direct and indirect intervention, training, clinical supervision, coaching, and contributing to developing right models of intervention.
About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing a wrap-around service for vulnerable children and young people. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in working with children and adolescents experiencing complex extra-familial harm.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Clinical Psychology.
- Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Experience of working with children and adolescents experiencing complex extra-familial harm.
- An ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Benefits
- A competitive salary of £51,411-£83,817 per annum.
- 30% pay enhancement for evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays, and 60% for Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Location
