Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our technical department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, while maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with all personnel across all departments.
  • Ensure complaints from customers and local authorities are recorded, logged, investigated, and responses sent or submitted on relevant supplier websites within required timescales.
  • Manage online reviews for all customers and trend them.
  • Provide support for generating technical/quality data (tabular and graphical) for submission to all customer and site KPI's within required timescales.
  • Compile all retailer KPI reports and site management reports.
  • Manage and adapt relevant spreadsheets.
  • Manage export preparation, compliance, documentation, and visits.
  • Complete delivery artwork checks to ensure packaging delivered is correct-artwork and new packaging checks.
  • Manage document control database, issuing updated/new documents to appropriate departments.
  • Manage and raise purchase order numbers when required.
  • Support and assist with unannounced BRC preparation and other customer-specific audits.
  • New product launch preparation.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary in the role, demonstrating commitment to the food safety, authenticity, integrity, and quality culture activities at site, alongside the values of our business.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a technical admin role, ideally with retailer experience.
  • Previous experience with QMS systems, e.g., writing technical procedures/document control.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with retailer Code of Practice and BRC requirements.
  • Previous food industry experience.
