Building Safety Consultant

We are seeking a highly experienced Building Safety Consultant to join our team at The Health and Safety Partnership. As a key member of our consultancy, you will work closely with clients across the built environment to provide expert advice on building safety matters and develop building safety documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential building safety and a keen interest in pursuing a career in consulting. You will work with clients in the residential sector, including owner/managers of Higher-Risk Buildings, to support and advise on building safety matters and develop building safety documentation.

The role has been created due to the changes taking place in the industry relating to the Building Safety Act. The company is offering further training to gain the qualifications outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience of working with (implementing, improving, developing) safety management systems.
  • Experience in writing and implementing a resident engagement strategy.
  • Knowledge and experience in writing building safety cases and reports preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience of statutory compliance for building and fire safety.
  • You may hold, be working towards or interested in gaining the CIOB Diploma in Building Safety Management qualification.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or further safety qualifications.
  • Qualification and/or experience in fire safety desirable.
