The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team. As a Backend Developer, you will design, develop, and engineer software and products for our National Security customers. This will involve creating innovative solutions to mission-critical customer problems, integrating and developing against open-source components and frameworks, and staying up-to-date with new and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and engineer software and products for National Security customers
  • Develop innovative solutions to mission-critical customer problems
  • Integrate and develop against open-source components and frameworks
  • Stay up-to-date with new and emerging technologies
  • Work across multiple projects and innovation tasks to support professional and career development

Requirements

  • Experience with Python, Java, C#, Go, and supporting backend frameworks
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems, including Ubuntu, Centos/RHEL, and Android
  • Understanding of message brokering, serialization, and queueing systems
  • Experience with microservices, containers, and hosts
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, including Vagrant, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud
  • Understanding of Git and version control systems

Clearances

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years.
