Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity is available to a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist who can work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team, promoting the health and well-being of seniors. Reporting to the Manager or designate, the successful candidate will contribute to the comprehensive geriatric screen and focused assessment through evidence-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the prevention, assessment, and treatment of injury, pain, disease, and disorders that impact clients' movement, function, and health status.
  • Conduct assessments and examinations to identify personal and environmental factors affecting clients' functional abilities, physical performance, and participation.
  • Deliver physiotherapy services in a safe physical environment for self, other team members, and staff.
  • Perform physiotherapy interventions, including education and consultation, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue and manual therapy techniques, functional activity training, cardio-respiratory and neuromotor techniques, and prescribing aids and devices.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess a graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy, current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). A minimum of three (3) years' clinically related experience, including a combination of experience related to working with the frail elderly population, is also required.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
