About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Development Engineer to join our Amazon Security Platform Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable self-service systems to collect security relevant logs from internal and third party systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable logging solutions to support Petabytes of data deployed around the world.
  • Collaborate with product owners and customers to deliver the best features, using resources and technologies efficiently.
  • Engage with other teams to onboard their services for data ingestion into the platform, aid in the tooling for analysis of the data, as well as transform the data when needed to make it useful.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security-related features and enhancements.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • Experience in professional software development.
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
