SEMH English and Maths Tutor Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH English and Maths Tutor to work with a female student in Barking and Dagenham. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one tuition in GCSE English and Maths, tailoring lessons to meet the student's SEMH needs and learning style.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, tailored tuition in GCSE English and Maths to meet the student's individual needs.
  • Build a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters academic growth and confidence.
  • Monitor and track the student's progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Liaise with parents and professionals to support the student's development and provide regular updates on progress.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Confidence in teaching GCSE-level English and Maths, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • A caring, patient, and supportive approach, with a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
