About the Role

Mountjoy Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter Multi to join our team. As a Carpenter Multi, you will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks across the University of Southampton residential halls and estates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a variety of carpentry repairs in occupied student accommodation, buildings, and empty rooms.
  • Fitting of various types of doors, including fire doors, first and second fixing carpentry, kitchen installations, ceramic wall tiling, carpet tiling, and minor decorative works.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, university representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2-3 in carpentry or equivalent.
  • Competent in two other secondary skills.
  • Full driving license.
  • 2-5 years' experience of working in building maintenance and educational environments.
