About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Transformation Team, you will play a critical role in delivering our Patient First strategy and ensuring the successful implementation of our Targeted Lung Health Check Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full project life cycle, from inception to post-project evaluation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with divisional, care group, and specialty leads to implement a full programme of work, including working across divisions and organisations.
  • Manage the implementation of evidence-based Targeted Lung Health Check Programme, using PRINCE2 and MFT methodologies.
  • Provide project management support to the General Manager for Cancer & Access, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programmes.
  • Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects to ensure successful delivery in line with strategic objectives.
  • Apply expert technical knowledge and operational experience to deploy demand/capacity and establishment setting solutions, ensuring all IG requirements are met.
  • Handle project and work stream risks and issues, assisting in mitigating them as far as possible and escalating them to the divisional leadership team as required.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant subject or demonstrable significant relevant experience.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Proven successful delivery of healthcare programmes.
  • Proven experience of leading complex projects.
  • Experienced in a staff management role.
  • Experience of programme management in an NHS environment.
  • Experience of managing project budgets and managing project change.
