Procurement Analyst Job Description

Job Summary:

MM International is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Procurement Department, you will be responsible for supporting various roles and responsibilities, including material forecasting, sourcing, planning, and purchase of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily tasks associated with material forecasting, sourcing, planning, and purchase of various goods and services, including related purchase orders.
  • Conduct analysis and research to identify spend data trends and convert that analysis into actionable projects.
  • Participate in RFPs, invoicing, and other ad-hoc requests.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to control and aid in the inventory process flows and daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a core of suppliers, OEMs, and peer companies.
  • Coordinate the supplier onboarding process and ensure compliance with insurance and other requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with established procurement and inventory protocols.
  • Coordinate the procurement process from order to delivery and all steps in between.
  • Oversee the distribution of materials to proper SJI locations.
  • Coordinate the auditing and reporting of material depots across both utilities.
  • Develop a fluency with supply chain market conditions and the potential impacts to the company.
  • Participate and help facilitate the preparation of material forecasts and the consumption of goods and services across various areas.
  • Consolidate bills of materials across both utilities, serving as an improvement in forecasting.
  • Recommend process improvements and facilitate changes as agreed to.
  • Coordinate various month-end functions, such as outstanding invoices and accruals.

Requirements:

An undergraduate degree in a related business area is expected. A graduate degree is a plus. The position requires 3 days in the Folsom office during normal business hours and periodic visits to the Atlantic City and Union NJ offices.
