About the Role

Kent County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Help Worker to join our Intensive Early Help Unit. As an Early Help Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and their families who require intensive support for multiple and complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of children, young people, and their families and develop intervention plans to prevent the need for specialist services.
  • Provide direct 1-1 work with children and young people to promote change and work in partnership with other services to get the best support for families.
  • Support parents and carers to reduce the negative impact on children and young people's physical development, emotional wellbeing, and enhance their learning and life chances.
  • Create a support network for families and work independently and collaboratively within the Intensive Early Help Unit.

Requirements

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess needs and develop intervention plans.
  • Knowledge of child development and family support principles.
