Head of Health, Safety, and Environment

Join The Health and Safety Partnership Limited as we seek an experienced Head of HSE to lead our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to oversee all HSE aspects across various utility and infrastructure projects. As Head of HSE, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving a culture of safety excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement HSE Strategies: Design and execute innovative HSE strategies that meet evolving business and regulatory needs.
- Lead HSE Team: Manage a team of SHEQ Advisors, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality are met.
- Conduct Audits and Inspections: Regularly conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance across all sites, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure Compliance with ISO 45001: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 standards, driving continuous improvement through the implementation of management systems.
- Collaborate with SHEQ Director: Work closely with the SHEQ Director to design and execute an innovative HSE strategy that meets evolving business and regulatory needs.
- Chartered Member Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH)
- National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH)
- Level 4 Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers (IEMA) desirable
- Significant experience working across a variety of utility and construction projects
- Proven ability to lead teams, work cross-functionally with various departments, and manage processes across multiple projects
- Demonstrable experience in developing safety procedures and managing compliance with health and safety legislation
- Knowledge and understanding of Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM)
