This offshore position is based on the BP ETAP, with a 3/3 rotation schedule.

Job Description

To excel in this role, you will be part of an integrated maintenance team responsible for planning and executing instrument work scopes. Your primary objective will be to ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, maximizing plant and equipment availability, maintaining asset integrity, and achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work in an integrated maintenance team, responsible for planning and execution of instrument work scopes, ensuring all work is safe, timely, and of high quality.
  2. Evaluate and ensure compliance with statutory Health and Safety procedures, maintenance manuals, specific work instructions, safe systems of work (Control of Work/Permit to Work), and recommended safe working practices.
  3. Participate in thorough pre-job risk assessments for non-routine activities and confirm that they accurately reflect the resultant Permit to Work.
  4. Participate in pre-job site inspections/toolbox talks for maintenance activities.
  5. Ensure personnel in proximity of works are aware of planned works, associated risks, and control/mitigation measures in place.
  6. Under direction, undertake routine inspection, servicing, and adjustment of equipment.
  7. Support performance and condition monitoring and assessment under direction.
  8. Undertake planned and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, ensuring any work carried out is compliant with company procedures.
  9. Reinstate equipment and systems to required condition and performance.
  10. Support diagnostic activities and analysis to rectify faults.
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with relevant experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry in similar or equivalent roles. Key requirements include:

  • IRATA Level 1 Rope Access certification or willingness to complete if required by the platform.
  • SBT01 – Assemble and install Small Bore Tubing training or willingness to complete.
  • SBex-Parker A Lok training or willingness to complete.
  • Electrical competence with site-specific instrument biased electrical competence (CIP).
  • Experience with electrical equipment in hazardous areas (CompEx).
  • Ex protection maintenance and inspection.
  • Authorised safeguarding systems testing.
  • Control valve & ESD valve maintenance and inspection.
  • Control system cabling calibration.
  • PLC systems knowledge.
  • Installation and assembly of small bore tubing.
  • Good awareness of work planning and scheduling.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety rules and regulations.
  • First Aid training (including CPR).
  • Good communicator, accurate information sharing, active listening, and comfort with written, spoken, or electronic media.
  • Commitment to higher performance standards.
  • Problem-solving skills, corrective action planning, and follow-up.
  • Offshore Survival (BOSIET/FOET).
  • Offshore Medical (OGUK).
  • Additional medical certification as required by IRATA.
  • Mandatory training requirements, as per agreed training matrix.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
