A leading civil engineering business is seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team at offices in North and West Yorkshire.

Job Description

The role entails risk analysis, contractual advice, identification of additional works, preparation of variations and quotations, and cost control. The ideal candidate will have experience working with NEC 3 forms of Contract, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of planning software such as P6 and MS Project.

The responsibilities include:

  • Risk analysis and advising on contractual matters
  • Identifying, valuing and agreeing additional works and scope within the project
  • Preparing contractual and general correspondence
  • Raising and responding to contractual notices and negotiations with employers
  • Cost control, cost management and comparisons against budget and tender allowances
  • Preparing financial reports including CVR's, cash flow forecasts, and commercial risk registers
  • Negotiating and agreeing interim applications, valuations and final accounts

The successful candidate will have strong negotiation skills, ability to implement new processes, and work with different business cultures. A strong team player with a client-focused approach is required.
