School Catering Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Unit Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional food and customer service to our clients in the education sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of culinary and service staff to ensure the highest standards of food quality and customer service.
- Develop and implement action plans to drive sales and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage budgets, inventories, and KPIs to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image in the education sector.
- Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and delivery of services.
- Support and train team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams.
- Minimum of two years of catering experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 qualification.
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ambitious and motivated individual with a passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service.
