Indigenous Outreach Coordinator

**About the Role**

The UM for National Indigenous Australians Agency is seeking an experienced Engagement Officer to join our team in the Kimberley Region. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As an Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with First Nations communities, service providers, and other stakeholders. You will also provide administrative support to the Engagement Assistant Director and sub-regional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engagement strategies that support the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Build and maintain relationships with First Nations communities, service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to the Engagement Assistant Director and sub-regional teams.
• Participate in the development of programs and policies that support the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, indigenous studies, public administration).
• High-level cultural competency and ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel, including overnight stays, and possess a current Driver's License.

Salary:** **$94,715 - $106,438**
