Are you passionate about empowering vulnerable children to reach their full potential? Do you have a keen interest in education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives?

We are working with outstanding schools in and around the Watford area to appoint enthusiastic and hardworking Learning Support Assistants. This role will provide you with extensive experience in the classroom, working with individuals who require additional support to succeed.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs or those who require additional support to remain focused in the classroom. You will be instrumental in providing consistency and equipping children and young people with the tools they need to feel safe, secure, empowered, and confident in their ability to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with special educational needs or those who require additional support to remain focused in the classroom
  • Work alongside teachers and specialist staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to build confidence and motivation
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure that students receive the support they need

  • Able to build confidence and motivation in students
  • Approachable and able to build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict

  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work
