Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Specialist Lead to join our team in Luton, UK. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the NPI / Repair strategies and requirements for DFx events, ensuring efficient production processes, adherence to quality standards, and timely project completion.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading Manufacturing Engineering activities within high-value, complex manufacturing programmes, especially in the early stages of the project life cycle. A detailed understanding of the operational framework and business processes is essential, as well as the ability to communicate concepts in a non-technical way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist input into project teams to ensure technically sound solutions, meeting all stakeholder requirements within an NPI environment.
  • Harnessing Manufacturing Engineering activities across multiple sub-system projects (UK wide).
  • Leading failure investigations, prioritizing solutions, and championing deliverables using known problem-solving techniques.
  • Working in a highly skilled team, providing key inputs and data to aid Operations decisions and failure review boards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable Manufacturing Engineering experience covering all product lifecycle phases, with an extensive background in development & NPI phases at an appropriate level.
  • Experience in leading NPI, Repair Definition, DFX Manufacturing & Repair requirement activities.
  • Maintaining governance through the Lifecycle Management process and creating / contributing / reviewing and/or leading Manufacturing Plans.
