About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at Arch Capital Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability through strategic financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of financial planning and analysis processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management and the board.
  • Lead the FP&A and Business Partnering team, providing guidance and support to junior members of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial analysis and planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies, including the annual planning cycle, quarterly reforecasts, and expense analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support business decision-making, including the production of quarterly results packs and annual plans.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders, including the development of business cases and financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, the board, and external partners.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial analysis and planning, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop insightful recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
