About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ecological Land Management Advisor to join our team at Dartmoor National Park Authority.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ecological principles and be able to apply this knowledge to develop and implement effective land management strategies.
The role will involve working closely with farmers, landowners, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for ecological enhancement and restoration.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ecological land management plans for the Walkham Valley Landscape Recovery Scheme
- Work with farmers and landowners to identify opportunities for ecological enhancement and restoration
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to develop and implement effective land management strategies
- Provide advice and support to farmers and landowners on ecological land management practices
Requirements
- Strong understanding of ecological principles and land management practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience of working with farmers and landowners
