The role involves supporting the class teacher, engaging with children on a 1:1 or group basis, and helping to create a positive learning environment that encourages child development through play and exploration. As a Level 3 qualified teaching assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.
About the Role:
- School/Location: Fantastic nursery in the DE13 area
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (£25,000 - £30,000 per year)
- Contract: Full-time (7am-6pm)
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the nursery team in delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Assist in the social and emotional development of children, ensuring a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
- Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to encourage children's cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Promote positive behavior and encourage children to be confident and independent.
- Work closely with the teacher and other staff to assess and monitor children's progress.
- Ensure all safeguarding policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe and caring environment.
