Permanent Governance Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Governance Lawyer to join our team at Venn Group. As a permanent Governance Lawyer, you will play a key role in supporting the senior legal team by advising client departments on governance and corporate matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise client departments on governance and corporate matters to ensure compliance with statutory duties and obligations.
  • Support the senior legal team in providing guidance on governance procedures within a Local Authority.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with elected members, officers, and commissioners.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor/barrister with current practising certificate or FCILEX status.
  • Experience or knowledge of governance procedures within a Local Authority.
  • Excellent time management skills and the capability to take on various workstreams.
