Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our team of professionals in a primary school setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner.
  • Build positive relationships with Class Teachers to support pupils and discuss/implement strategies and learning activities.
  • Prepare resources for lessons.
  • Supervise pupils at break times and lunch times as required.
  • Have a hands-on approach to supporting pupils in their learning, with a willingness to interact, engage, and form a positive rapport with pupils.
Requirements:
  • An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you).
  • Ideally a recognised Childcare-based qualification, although again, this is not essential.
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
  • A resilient, proactive, and positive nature.
  • Experience in classrooms supporting students. Again, this is not essential.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfil their potential and flourish in education.
  • An enthusiastic approach and a willingness to engage with and form positive relationships with pupils.
