We are partnering with a Local Authority in Islington to support the appointment of an ESOL Teacher, on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Hours per week: 15

Rate of Pay: £19.59 - £25.96 per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach your subject specialism on accredited and non-accredited programmes in neighbourhood learning centres, libraries, schools, childrens centres, small voluntary sector organisations or various sites in the community as agreed.
  • To incorporate Digital Skills and Employability when designing and delivering courses in your subject area.
  • To engage LBI residents through effective assessment tools, innovative course and lesson planning, production of resources and appropriate teaching techniques.
  • To support the Team Leaders and Curriculum Managers to develop your subject area(s) to contribute to a curriculum that meets the needs of LBI residents and enables them to progress onto further education/training or employment.
  • To contribute to course, area and curriculum reviews to identify areas for improvement including retention, completion and achievement rates.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 teaching qualification such as PTLLS or AET is acceptable when presented with relevant teaching and industry experience.
  • Minimum level two literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE, CSE, GCE, Functional Skills or equivalent).
  • Substantial adult teaching experience in community or FE college settings.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
