Maintenance Technician

**Role Overview**
We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our engineering family as a Multi Skilled Technician. In this role, you will provide essential facilities support services across our client site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks, including fire alarm tests, water temperature recording, and emergency lighting tests.
- Utilities Management: Take monthly utilities meter readings.
- Reactive Support: Respond to reactive repairs and replace defective lighting.
- General Services: Conduct minor building repairs, decorating, and plumbing, and handle general office cleaning for remote sites by exception.
- Support Services: Assist with moves, furniture management, and other porterage duties.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of all work orders, comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and complete required documentation.
- Teamwork and Communication: Participate in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal hours, provide cover for holidays and sickness absence, and assist all trades within the team.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Health and Safety: Good understanding of health and safety in a building environment.
- Proactivity: Proactive approach to maintenance and building management.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent customer service skills, good communication skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Additional Skills: Ability to write and follow risk and method statements, knowledge of building statutory compliance, and accuracy in record-keeping.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The working hours are two-day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) and two night shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with four days off. This is a 13-month fixed-term contract based in Haleon Maidenhead.
