Taylor Root, a leading international law firm, seeks an experienced In-House Contract Lawyer to deliver procurement services across the firm. Based in either Leeds or Manchester, this role offers flexibility and a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.

Job Description:

This role involves collaborating closely with the Procurement team and business stakeholders to oversee the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial supplier agreements. You will provide strategic advice on related contractual matters, ensuring compliance and managing associated risks. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, Review, and Negotiation: Overseeing a variety of commercial supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Working with the Office of the General Counsel and Information Security teams to conduct due diligence and mitigate risks in supplier relationships.
  • Stakeholder Support: Providing clear and actionable advice on commercial and legal aspects of contracts, often to senior-level stakeholders, while identifying and addressing risks.

To succeed in this role, you should have a qualified solicitor's background with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in commercial contracts. Proficiency in drafting, negotiating, and advising on a range of commercial agreements is essential.
